There are plenty of great cafe's around the Otways. The closest cafe is one minute drive from Fernhouse. Do make sure you go enjoy a good coffee when you are down here! Have a look below for our favourite cafe's.
Wildlife Wonders Cafe
Apollo Bay / Marengo
This is the closest cafe to Fernhouse, and the only cafe in the Otways where all the proceeds go to solving the most urgent conservation challenges in the Otways region. You can watch Emus from the cafe and they have great homemade slices and cakes. It's definitely worth a visit!
The Little Crumb
LittleCrumb Bakery is a fresh new cafe and bakery, perfectly located on the Great Ocean Road - directly opposite the beautiful Apollo Bay beach.
Specialising in artisan croissants and pastries, custom cakes, specialty Adore coffee and an exciting cafe menu. Open daily for breakfast and lunch.
Whenever we go exploring around Bins Road, where all the waterfalls are, we make sure we stop in Beech Forrest to go to Nourished. They have everything you want; vintage furniture, some vintage clothes for sale, local produce, really friendly people and a great menu.
Apollo Bay Bakery
Apollo Bay Bakery is run by Sally Cannon - Apollo Bay's greatest advocate, the towns rock, our lighthouse. This is where you will find all tradies getting their coffee early hours. You will see the same staff here year after year, which is a great sign. This is a place full of good, real folk. It is home of the famous Scallop Pie, I love their pepper steak pie and their vegan and veggie options are really wonderful too.
Cafe 153 has a great lunch menu, with specials depending on seasonal produce and what the fishermen brought in. The outdoor area is great on a sunny day and it's one of the only places in town where they have newspapers - a lovely place to read up on current affairs.
Icaro Cafe serve St ALi coffee, tonics, medicinal lattes, cold pressed juices and delicious superfoods with an ethos on fresh locally sourced produce and a conscious effort to reduce waste and protect the earth.
